PRAYER AT ST. ANNE'S: Prayer is at the heart of our church life. A church which prays is a church which is alive to the Spirit. Do join us for Morning Prayer, a rich selection of readings and prayers, Mon-Fri 9:15 am or for our regular gathering for Silent Prayer on Tuesday evenings at 7pm.
CONCERT “Out of the Rubble”, Saturday 25th January 3pm, St Annes. A concert of words and music in aid of “Freedom from Torture” with tenor Mark Padmore, pianist Nancy Cooley and friends. Tickets £15.00 available here.
THANK YOU TO JUDITH: On Sunday 26th January, we are holding a special event after the 10 a.m. service to thank Judith for her Ministry at St. Anne’s over the years (especially dealing with the doubly difficult period when the church was in Interregnum at the same time as Covid). For more details please speak to Mary-Rose or Ashley.
FAMILY SUPPORT WORK: Our next collection for F.S.W. will be on Thursday 6th February, so bring to St. Anne’s any donations of tinned food or vegetables (not fresh produce), boxed cereals, tea, coffee, jams and marmalades, etc., which will be gratefully appreciated.
GIVING: St. Anne's, like other churches, faces challenging financial circumstances. As a church we have a vibrant, outward-looking relationship with our local community. At the heart of our life is the presence of God encountered in worship. By far the most important thing is for us to attend and worship God. If you support us financially thank you. If you don't, consider if you can help with a donation or more regular giving. Such help supports our living and growing church. Please speak to the churchwardens if you want more information about giving or contact me at rectorstanneslewes@gmail.com
FLOWERS FOR ST ANNE’S CHURCH: An invitation from Jill and Bettina to any member of our congregation and their friends who would like to attend the first Flower Meeting in St Anne’s Church, please do so, on Monday January 20th at 3pm.
ST ANNE'S OPENING TIMES: Due to current building works, we are unable to open the church during the week, as we usually do. The church is open for all the usual services and events, such as daily Morning Prayer 0915 to 0945 monday and friday and other events publicised on the website. We hope the internal building work will be completed in December and the church can be open as usual.
ST ANNE'S WEBSITE: www.stanneslewes.org.uk - Our website offers resources for our growth in discipleship. On the website you can now find recent sermons collated in one place under the tag sermons. Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
ONLINE AND CARD TRANSACTIONS: Donations can also be made through our website (the DONATE button is in the top right-hand corner of every page).
