TODAY: EVENSONG RETURNS: We will have the first of our series of monthly Evensong services at 6:30pm. Evensong is a particularly beautiful and ancient form of worship. Do join us.

 

NO MORNING PRAYER tomorrow: There will be no Morning Prayer on Monday 27th. The church will be closed for the bank holiday. Morning Prayer will run from Tuesday to Friday this week at 9:15am. Silent prayer at 7pm on Tuesday.

 

CHURCH CLEANING, Wednesday 29th May, 10am-12pm: Help always welcome, it is not arduous but does need to be done. Contact Diana (01273 474964) or Mary Beattie for information.

 

LUNCHTIME CONCERT, Thursday 30th May, 1:10pm: Joanna Songi & Matthew Fletcher. Programme to include premiere performance of rediscovered works by Elizabeth Maconchy, in advance of their upcoming release with Resonus Classics. Lasts approximately 40 minutes. Free entry, retiring collection.

 

CONFIRMATION CLASSES: We will be running a series of confirmation classes for children and adults in June. This is an opportunity to deepen awareness of the Christian faith. It can also be used as a refresher course or simply an opportunity to explore. The sessions are on God, Christ, Holy Communion and Prayer. Sundays in June at 12pm at St Anne's, the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd. For more info talk to Ben.

 

FSW FOODBANK: This month Family Support Work would like donations of cereal, crisps, ketchup, tinned tomatoes, tinned potatoes/vegetables, tinned meat, cleaning products, coffee, tinned fruit, rice, toiletries. Please bring to St Anne's by Thursday 6th June. (NOT CURRENTLY NEEDED: baked beans, tea, biscuits).

 

FSW CHARITY WALK, Cuckmere Pilgrim Path, Thursday 30th May: This year Family Support Work is doing a sponsored walk of the 11 mile Pilgrim Walk. They will be meeting on the day at Alfriston at 8:30am. There will be a refreshment stop at each church along the route, and those who feel they cannot manage the full length can join in at any of the stopping points. If you would like to take part or for more information you can contact the FSW Fundraising team on 01273 041401 or email fundraising@familysupportwork.org.uk

DONATIONS FOR OUR BOOK SALE (Saturday 21st September): Please do continue to donate books for the sale. We are looking for both fiction and non-fiction on all subjects and genres in good condition (please, no A-Zs, Road Maps or National Trust guides). Please leave in the back right pew.

 

ST ANNE'S OPENING TIMES: A reminder that the Church is open Monday to Saturday from 9:15 until 4pm for people to come in and explore the church or to spend some quiet time. (Times when church is open may vary depending on services and other events.)

Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
